Brian Mailhot (aka Brian Black)
My time spent at the CTC has been the best investment I have made thus far in my career. Jim and Mike have been able to clearly define my strengths and weaknesses and have given me ample amounts of advice and instruction on how to make my work look more crisp, clean, and credible. At times I have found training to be painful, frustrating, and difficult, but with the help of everyone at the CTC I know that it is worth every minute. I have miles to go, but I believe that my continued training at the CTC will take me from being 'just another indy worker', to someone who maybe, just maybe, may have a chance at something big.

Mike and Jim do a wonderful job at making sure that a student's time is most productively spend addressing the improvement of his/her particular weaknesses. Knowing that highly athletic offense is not my most glowing attribute, Mike and Jim might bombard me with a series of spots loaded with quick leapfrogs or teach me a flash maneuver which they know is not beyond my ability.

When I began training for wrestling I only thought of it as learning moves. When I began training at Chaotic Training Center I started learning other important things I had not thought of before. They teach everything from calling spots and putting a match together, to locker room etiquette and working shows. Training here I have also gotten a great deal of insight into wrestling as a business and the importance of being a reliable worker and someone others would like to work with.

An important thing for referees to know these days is how to bump. So, at my own pace, Mike and Jim have been helping me learn how to be on the receiving end of hip tosses, fireman's carries, clotheslines, and shoulder tackles. I may not be able to participate in every drill that goes on in class, but each day I'm gaining more and more confidence in my abilities.... and that can only help me in the long run to attain my goals.
